We are presenting the new tool useful in selection of optimum NMS work- and client stations. The NMS Calc is the IP system calculator facilitating completion of devices for camera installation. The „List of cameras” includes all necessary monitoring system parameters.
The user can choose any number of cameras, indicate the series, models, fps value, % of motion detection and also the number of days for recording. It is also possibile to define the number of client stations and the number of viewed cameras per client.
After filling all mentioned information there appears particular data, such as: total stream (Mb/s) and total disc space needed (TB) in order to support it. The presented results also include the number of servers required and network cards per server basing on defined server model and HDDs capacity.
The NMS Calc calculation results are based on estimates, but they may be helpful in the selection of equipment in a short time.
