NOVUS and Safestar – new integration opening up even more possibilities for remote monitoring
We are pleased to announce that NOVUS 6000 series devices have been integrated with the Safestar platform, enabling the development of modern video surveillance and remote protection systems based on NOVUS solutions. Thanks to the integration, Safestar platform users can access advanced NOVUS device functionalities directly from a single application and management center.
Key integration features
The integration of NOVUS devices with the Safestar platform enables:
- live video viewing (Live View),
- receiving alarms from devices,
- remote arming and disarming of video analytics,
- downloading pre-alarm footage,
- device time synchronization,
- control of recorder alarm outputs,
- quick addition of NOVUS devices using a dedicated wizard with automatic brand identification.

The integration covers not only VSS systems but also other devices from the NOVUS portfolio, making it possible to build comprehensive systems for the monitoring and protection of facilities.
NOVUS IP speaker – active protection and effective event verification
The Safestar platform also supports the NOVUS NVS-IPS8030/M IP speaker, enabling not only voice announcements but also two-way audio communication. Unlike many IP speakers available on the market, the NVS-IPS8030/M is equipped with a built-in omnidirectional microphone. This allows the monitoring center operator not only to issue a warning message but also to hear a response from a person located within the protected area. This enables rapid verification of the type of event, reduces the number of false alarms, and supports more informed operational decisions. The operator can immediately establish contact with a person at the facility, assess the situation, and respond accordingly.
The solution is particularly well suited for photovoltaic farms, construction sites, industrial areas, material storage yards, critical infrastructure facilities, and wherever effective 24/7 monitoring is required. Combining video surveillance, video analytics, and two-way audio communication makes it possible to move from passive observation to active facility protection.
NOVUS video intercoms – remote entrance management and greater control over the facility
NOVUS video intercoms supporting the SIP protocol are also compatible with the Safestar platform. By integrating video surveillance, audio-video communication, and access control, it is possible to create a unified system for managing facility security. The solution enables monitoring center operators to manage entrances and gates outside the facility’s regular operating hours. In practice, this means that suppliers, service teams, couriers, and employees authorized to enter the premises can be remotely verified.
Once an audio-video connection has been established, the operator can verify the identity of the person requesting access, assess the purpose of the visit, and then decide whether to grant access in accordance with the applicable procedures. This solution enhances security, streamlines operations, and reduces the need for security or reception staff to be permanently present on site. NOVUS video intercoms integrated with Safestar can be used, among others, in office buildings, logistics parks, industrial facilities, warehouses, residential communities, and gated residential estates.
